I had a wonderful week. My grandparents came to visit me for Christmas and I loved it! They played with me so much and helped me play with all of my new toys that I got for Christmas. Oh it was fun. I’m coming so close to crawling. If Granddad held up my tummy, I could crawl across the room with ease. So much fun!

For the most part, I was a very good girl all week. Mommy says I’ve grown up in leaps and bounds in just a few days. I can sit up just fine now. I can also communicate so much better. I’m a very happy girl.

Happy New Year!

I turned 6 months old yesterday and had to go back to the doctor’s office today. They gave me three shots in the legs again. But I didn’t cry as much. In fact, I didn’t cry at all when they gave me the first shot. I was too interested in what was going on.

I now weigh 14 lb. 3.5 oz. and am 27 3/4″ long. My head is 16″ around. My head is slightly above average and my length is way above average. My weight is slightly below average but it has been since I was born, and the doctor said it would most likely stay that way.

I am now allowed to try meats but my doctor says that they smell and taste like dog food… so I’m not looking forward to that!

I can sit up by myself now for long lengths of time. I’m not crawling yet, but I’m trying. I don’t hate being on my tummy as much as I used to. I absolutely love toys and anything I can get my hands on. I can pick up my pacifier and put it in my mouth the correct way (after a bit of experimenting). I babble all of the time. I know a couple of signs but I can’t reproduce them yet. And I’m very shy around people who aren’t Mommy and Daddy… at least for a little while. I have to figure them out before I feel comfortable with them.

I’ve been so busy growing up lately that I forgot to post these past couple weeks. I can’t wait for Christmas!

My new favorite toy is Mommy’s mouthwash. Every night that I take a bath, I get to play with the bottle. It’s so beautiful. Mommy and Daddy think that I must love the color blue.

I felt this weird white stuff yesterday. It sure was cold. Mommy and Daddy didn’t let me play with it for very long though.

Today I tasted green beans. Wow. They sure are yucky. I kept expecting each bite to be cereal. Mommy and Daddy were playing a nasty trick on me. Each bite was worse than the next. I did manage to swallow a little bit. Maybe I’ll get used to it.
