Grammo Nanna comePosted on September 2nd, 2010 @ 6:33 pm
Mommy: Thalia, who is coming tonight?
Thalia: Grammo Nanna come. I bring da books. Here’s one.
Mommy: Are you excited to see them?
Thalia: Yeah. See tomorrow. Couple days! Couple days!
Translation: Thalia’s Grammo and Nanna are coming tonight. But whenever she is excited about something she thinks it’s happening in “a couple days”, because she’s used to hearing that. And she brought up books because she is playing with a dollhouse bookshelf and rearranging the books in it.

I love hiking!Posted on August 12th, 2010 @ 5:35 pm
Yesterday, Mommy and I went hiking. We walked along a trail next to a pretty stream with a group Mommy calls the Mountain Mommas. I like them. I like hiking. But most of all… I like flowers! I had to pick some and carry them with me all day.
See my rocks?
Flowers! Oh flowers!

Snack stop!

Cute!Posted on August 10th, 2010 @ 2:44 pm
Mommy: Thalia, what did you do yesterday?
Thalia: Couple days. Grocery shoppin.
Mommy: Remember a fountain?
Thalia: Go! We go! Go! Go! Water… Joe. Remember Robert. Joe! Joe’s so cute!
Translation: She got to play in a fountain yesterday with Robert and Joe. Everything is “cute” to her nowadays. In fact, this morning she found a dime and said “little man is cute!”. She saw a dad pushing his son on a swing at the playground today and said, “Man! Man is cute!” I won’t even mention what part of AL she called cute the other night. But it had me rolling on the floor in fits of laughter.

Thalia: Peed in pants! An… an… Wizar of Oz. Here go! (She hands me her tacos)
Mommy: What did you do at the Renaissance Fair?
Thalia: Ride a butterfly! An swing! Ride da cow. Piggies… chicken… bunny wabbits. I’ma done!
Translation: This is all pretty obvious. I asked her during our dinner of tacos. And for some strange reason, her highlight of the day seemed to be that she peed in her pants…
